We tried all mussels available here, over time, and now stick with the French ones or , if sold out, Spanish. The kids and I kill easily 1.4kg, my hubby and I a good 3kilos.
I use 20g butter
2 shallots
2 shallots
25cl white wine
freshly chopped persil
freshly chopped persil
garlic can be an option
ich nehme 20g Butter
2 Schalotten
25cl Kochwein
frisch gehackte Petersilie
Knofi, wer mag
I like to give the onions a quick stir in the melted butter, add the wine and persil
and after that put the mussels in, close the lid and increase the temperature. After 6 to 8 minutes the mussels will start to open and are ready to eat. During the cooking time one can stir the mussles three/ four times so they all will be exposed to the steam.
of course we eat the with les frites!

A bit late, but better late than never.....
We tried la bûche de Noël at Christmas and absolutely loved it! Maybe the look needs some work, especially since my son insisted on a birthday candle :-)
Un grand merci à Aurélie !
