The end of the school year is quickly approaching and I am getting the outfits ready.  The girls will wear long white skirts this year and I am on a real recycling mission!

I am having this old table cloth from my Granny which I kept and kept and never used.  I decided it will make lovely skirts.  The cotton is in great condition, maybe a bit on the heavy side, since it will be hot in July, but well, the show will be in the evening....

I kept the whole width of the cloth and made a wide waistband with two elastic ribbons.

The fabric is wonderful; there is a pattern and it gives the skirt a nice ethno look.

The two elastics give it a nice touch and I find the strong cotton goes very well with the wide waist.
